Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Sitesaul when you use Kalo. Last updated 1 October 2026.

Kalo is not medical advice. It is a tracking tool. Calorie and macro targets are estimates from standard formulas, not a prescription, and the nutrition figures come from packaging and public databases that can be wrong. Talk to a doctor or a dietitian before changing how you eat, particularly if you are pregnant, managing a medical condition, taking medication, under 18, or have a history of disordered eating.

Using Kalo

You may use Kalo for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not resell it, copy it, take it apart to extract its source, or use it to build a competing product. You are responsible for anything done through your account, so keep your sign-in details to yourself.

Your account

You need an accurate email address to create an account, and you must be at least 13 years old. We can suspend or remove an account that is being used to abuse the service or other people — for example by filling the shared food catalogue with deliberately wrong figures, which other people rely on.

Accuracy of the numbers

Kalo's food data comes from three places: a small built-in list, the Open Food Facts database, and entries added by other users. None of it is guaranteed to be correct. Manufacturers change recipes, packaging is misread, and contributed entries are typed by hand. Anything another user added is labelled unverified until it has been checked. Always read the label if a figure matters to you.

Targets are calculated with the Mifflin-St Jeor equation and standard activity multipliers. They are population averages applied to your figures, and your actual needs may differ substantially.

Kalo Pro

Pro is a subscription sold through Google Play. Billing, renewals, refunds and cancellation are handled by Google under the Google Play terms, not by us.

What you contribute

When you add a product that Kalo did not recognise, you are adding it to a catalogue other users read. By doing so you grant Sitesaul a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store that product data, show it to other users and correct it. This covers the product only — never your diary, and never anything identifying you. Do not add data you have copied from a source that does not permit it.

Availability

We try to keep Kalo working, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Features may change or be withdrawn. Open Food Facts is run by an independent organisation and may be slow or unavailable; when that happens Kalo falls back to what it already knows and lets you enter the food yourself.

Liability

Kalo is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Sitesaul is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it, including any health outcome from decisions you made using its figures. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Ending it

You can stop using Kalo whenever you like; Settings → Delete Account removes your data and closes the account. We may end your access if you break these terms, and will give notice where it is reasonable to do so.

Changes

These terms may change. The date at the top changes with them, and a material change is announced in the app. Continuing to use Kalo means you accept the new version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Gujarat have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
